Telegram Integration

Telegram is the recommended communication platform for Moe’s agents. It supports topics (threaded conversations), bot APIs, and works across all devices.

Why Telegram?

• Topics let you organize agent communication by category (#research, #qa, #ops)
• Bot API provides reliable message delivery and rich formatting
• Free for unlimited messages, groups, and bots
• Mobile + Desktop means you can monitor agents from anywhere
• Search built-in history search across all messages

Setup

1. Create a Bot

Open Telegram, message @BotFather:

/newbot

Follow the prompts to name your bot and get a token.

2. Disable Privacy Mode

By default, bots can only see messages that mention them. For group monitoring, disable privacy mode:

/setprivacy → Select your bot → Disable

3. Create a Monitoring Group

Create a Telegram group (or supergroup) for agent communication:

1. Create a new group
2. Enable Topics (Group Settings > Topics)
3. Add your agent bots as admins
4. Create topics: #research, #qa, #ops (or whatever fits your workflow)

4. Configure Your Agent

Add the bot token to your agent’s configuration. Your agent will walk you through this during onboarding.

Multi-Agent Setup

For A2A workflows, all agents share the same monitoring group but use different topics:

Each agent has its own bot, so you can see which agent sent each message.

Tips

• Pin important messages for easy reference
• Use reactions to acknowledge agent outputs without cluttering the chat
• Star messages you want to follow up on later
• Mute the group if you don’t want real-time notifications (check when you want)
